George Square

Today we made a trip in to the city centre, mainly to see the shops and market in Christmas mode. Frasers store was highly decorated with strings of lights hanging down inside the atrium. We also found a Christmas market in Argyle Street.

In George Square there were a few fairground rides, including this Ferris Wheel. The wheel was quite large , but the Gondola were open. Considering the cold wet day we were not tempted. A couple of years ago we took a ride on the Glasgow Wheel. Perhaps that wheel was a little larger, the gondola were closed on that occasion. Even if they had been closed today they would have been pretty cold, unless they had been provided with heating.

In the evening we had dinner at the hotel with one of the people we met last night.
