Happysad Day

So the day started with a happy sad funeral which was as perfect a funeral as one could wish for. Come in to Highland Cathedral, a humanist tribute which was utterly heartbreakingly personal.Beautiful words that captured the man he was. Cue many tears and then we left to Hotel California which broke a few more hearts. It was both tragic yet celebratory.

Only sixty and newly retired, yet cut down to cancer, a great life lesson to seize life and to cherish those you love as they can be taken at any time.

It felt quite apt to go home, don our Santa hats, pop on Meester Buble and put up the Christmas tree.Every decoration a memory of people, times gone by and happier Christmases past.
