Luck o' the .... well, I'm not Irish!

Today I gave a speech for my TOPS group about my plan that has helped me lose weight the past couple of months. Just the basics: eat healthy balenced foods, exercise, and drink water. Really nothing new. I was telling them that the last time I was in TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) was a few months before I got married..nearly 20 years ago....I kinda choked! Has it been that long? Wow! So I looked at this picture today, taken on our honeymoon (which lucky me WON to Hawaii!). Could we smile any bigger? I think we are still that happy, really. It's just much more complicated than it was back then. As Shrek the Ogre would say, we have many more "layers, like an onion"!

Anyway, lucky me won a consult with a nutritionist today! We had a raffle at the meeting. They picked my ticket. A nutritionist came to give a talk as well. She was impressed with my talk! [pat, pat, pat!] So she said she will come back in a couple of months and we can talk before the meeting. I'd love to hear any additions she would make to what I'm already doing. For free!

My daughter cracked me up today. The weather here was absolutely gorgeous. She wanted to get wet outside. I suggested she wash my car! After reading with my son for a while, I went to check on her.

The car was dry.

She said she had washed 1/4th of it and was working on the next section! I just had to laugh! Apparently I'd never shown her HOW to wash a car or perhaps she never paid much attention. She sprayed a small part of the car, washed it with soapy water, rinsed that section, and dried it! Then moved to the next section!!

So I sprayed her down with water (because that's what she really wanted) and we washed the whole thing. Then the other 2 came out and proceeded to get soaked. They can't wait for spring break.

Alright. I'm done with my random thoughts. I'm eager to walk for an hour in the sun tomorrow!
