Hawk!

While driving in town today I saw this predator sitting on the clothes line support within a few feet of a house. I have seen the piles of feathers left behind by the attacking bird, but I have never seen one of these raptors so close to a house.
I stopped and took pictures as it watched me with some interest but no fear. After a minute it decided to ignore me and resume it's hunt. It swooped to the ground behind a wall and emerged in a second with a mouse in it's beak and flew away.
