Waiting For Our Ship to Come In

A seemingly eerie scene, poised for a long drive on a short dock?

In reality, it was a beautiful evening, fairly warm for December, none of the high velocity winds we experienced last night, and no rain. It was a beautiful evening for a short ferry ride across the pond over to Lummi Island where we (Allegra Women's Ensemble and Whatcom Sound Jazz Singers) enjoyed a delicious dinner, followed by a very successful performance at the Lummi Congregational Church.

Amazingly, I've not traveled out to Lummi Island despite having lived here now for so many years, but I'll definitely be back, with Richard in tow, this summer.
