St. Illtyd's Church, Llantwit Major. South Wales.
We went to a Christmas carol service at this wonderful grade 1 listed building and very enjoyable it was too! The church is an 11th century one steeped in history and is known as "the Westminster Abbey of Wales". I have shown in previous posts some of the original wall paintings and the Celtic Stones which date back from the 9th century. If you ever visit this part of Wales, you should make a point of visiting this splendid site, you will not be disappointed!
