The Good Spirit

A wonderful night at McSorley's Bar in Glasgow with the launch of Abhainn Dearg - pronounced A-VEEN DJE-RAK - the first legal whisky to made on the Isle of Lewis for 170 years. This is new make spirit and only eight weeks old. It will be three years before it can be called whisky, but even at eight weeks it already had colour and was fresh, fruity and very lively. A good dram which is destined to get even better.
