Watching the Day Dawn

It was barely above zero this morning when I arrived at the beach in the hope of catching the sun rise. Naturally it rose, but behind clouds. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful sight. This young man arrived and flopped down on the beach in front of me. I think he was enjoying the peace of the dawn (and maybe a cigarette) before bracing himself to enter the water.
