Now it's Christmas

After stepping out yesterday "for half an hour" I returned home today, 29 hours later, by way of the hospital theatre and the surgical recovery ward. The good news is that I feel fantastic, and retrospectively realise how sick I have been for the past few days with all the poison running around my system. A wonderful surprise awaited my homecoming, a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, smelling the room with pine needles. It's good to be home!
