I live near a huge cemetery in Toronto. You can walk and bike in there. When I went for my walk there were birds chirping everywhere. I saw the robins and cardinals that I love but as I got into the cemetery the noises stopped. I thought it was odd. I was really disappointed too because I was ready for photographs. But then I noticed this huge bird flying around. YES! It was the Yonge Eg hawks. There's a pair down at Queen's Park that i saw last week but I didn't get close enough (I only have a point and shoot if you can believe it... you can with the graininess of these photographs)
SO I followed it around and around till it landed. A mate was calling to it but I couldn't find her. After the hawk flew away all the birds came out to play.
I was so excited all day. I am sad that my photos aren't clearer. Arrrggggg.
If you want to see the other birds or other photos of the hawk from really far away....
