This is my car windscreen at mid day today! Before I blasted it with de-icer.

Bright but chilly start, son and DIL came for supper last night and stayed over lovely to see them and catch up.
Had planned to go to Edinburgh today, however put off by the black ice on the roads. Conscious of the dreadful conditions I decided to walk back from the fields via the road, safer I thought than the treacherous cobbled lane we normally use..... Wrong!
Some lunatic driver almost hit me, knocked me flying and I landed on my nose. He didn't even stop! Gathered myself and hobbled home, luckily only 5 mins away, telling myself all the while how lucky I had been, lots of blood but nothing broken.

Certainly won't be going anywhere now:-(
