Lazy day

Well for me certainly. The night nurse kicked in and I woke up feeling so much better. Throat still sore and not full energy but fortunately I wasn't the one expected to do this. Though although it was billed as "watching week" in Anna's dance classes we (the parents) did end up joining in the Jazz amalgamation.

That done we returned to the warmth and comfort of home and haven't left since. Hard to really pinpoint how the day has been spent but there has been a bit of homework for all 3 of us*, I've hung some paintings, we've watched a Christmas film** and made fajitas for dinner. J has played computer games and facetimed with his northern friend and Anna has played with playmobil and drawn for almost every second of the day. And before we knew it, time for Strictly.

It's been all rather lovely and certainly just what I needed and I think the kids (and probably Carl) too.

*Carlos is having a boys weekend at home. A friend from ooop North is down and following a trip to Brentford to watch Blackburn Rovers play they have headed into town and we're not expecting them back anytime soon.

**was hoping for Elf but it was surprisingly not available on any digital medium so we went for Home Alone 2 and have express ordered it for in the week instead
