Sun Shade

Can you believe it? Not only is it amazing that we entertained friends in the summer house in the middle of December, but I had to put up the parasol to shield everyone from the sun as it shines straight into your eyes when sitting looking out. At this time of year the sun just doesn’t get high enough to rise above the window level but by this time next week that will be resolved as we are having blinds fitted.

It was lovely to see our friends Jane and Chris who popped in en route to Nottingham to pick up Peter and take him home from Uni for Christmas.

At 10pm I am still sitting out in the summer house to get away from watching the X Factor final as, although I can take such programmes or leave them, given the option, I will leave them and I have the option as the heating has been on here so it is nice and cozy.

Anyway, today's blip is a view of the garden from our patio area across the raised pond towards the lawn and summer house beyond. It is all coming together nicely and the patio will be down by then end of next weekend, so just the last little bits will be left until the new year. I am looking forward so much to spending time in the garden next summer.
