Low tide

Low tide at North Berwick on a day of unexpected meetings with old friends.

Also a day of phone calls from two different people whom we haven't met for a few years. What a relief to get the phone (and wifi) back after a week - so I have now backblipped those taken with the camera.
Despite 'armour plated' cables covering the telephone wires the ends had been gnawed by rats who used the plastic coating to line their nests. It took over two hours to discover this on the main road about 200 metres away and is likely to happen again apparently as it's an ongoing problem in local houses with mice or rats which live in the neighbouring fields and wood. Fortunately I have never seen any rats near the house inspite of a farm opposite, but I believe farms now have very strict vermin control.
