El Desayuno

Still practicing Spanish when I can since classes start up again in January and I can't lose what I've already learned. Desayuno means breakfast, which is what these gulls are indulging in. I had been drawn to Bayview this morning for some reason and was just about to leave when I heard a loud flapping of hundreds of wings and swooshing of water as a colony of gulls met a school of fish for breakfast. In a long, wide line, they followed the fish from my right out in the bay to the shore on the left.

Proverb in Spanish for the day: Hay mucho mas donde elegir, or there are plenty more fish in the sea. :)
