Meager Offerings

Decisions, decisions...to snap a foto of my favorite religious meal of today (corned beef, cabbage, carrots, potatoes) (raised by Catholic Irish nuns you see), or to show this picture... And this one the way it is or with the bright blue background of the blue recycle bin. I decided on this to show how it ultimately looks. This morning I saw a precious little bird, a sparrow, trying to untie this string off of my peach tree. It tried and tried and was unsuccessful. Must have been a very important nest for it to build. ANd since I could not untie it for the little creature without scaring it away, I went out later. I untied the string and broke off a few twigs, put them on this flagstone as my meager offerings to assist the bird. Thinking of the Owl Cam in San Marcos, I thought this would make a good contribution towards Spring, birth of new things and hopefully be accepted and used. Go Birds....create those eggs and new birds to sing for us all!!!
