The horn, informally also known as the French horn, is a brass instrument made of tubing more than 20' (6.1 m) long, wrapped into a coil with a flared bell. The main tubing on an F Horn is 12–13' long & that associated with the valves adds additional length to achieve 20' of tubing overall.
