Lichen

Sunny morning with more cloud this afternoon. Struggled a bit today to find an image. In the end decided on a lichen. Took some pictures this morning and some this afternoon. In the end this was the best of a bad bunch. Its a common species on wood especially in polluted areas. Cladonia coniocraea, it does not seem to have a common name. The stalks are about 2cm high.
