Phyllostachis nigra

Down in the area which is to become the Japanese garden there's a Black Bamboo planted by CH about 12 years ago. As you can see, it hasn't spread very far in that time which makes it an ideal choice for the plant list. I'm really concerned not to put in anything invasive so will need to do some careful research before I make my choice. In the meantime, this one can stay put and I'll work round it so I have my first plant in the project.
