'Elf & Safety!

Santa is very particular when it comes to 'Elf and Safety! Here he is trying hard to curb the enthusiasm of his Elf as she stretches to take down some of the decorations!

Well, our event was a great success, I think. We had 49 children through the gap in the wall door, compared with just 15 last year. It was wonderful to see the light in the childrens' eyes when they met Santa and hear the sounds of fun as they hunted down the reindeer in the garden. Nobody seemed to care about the rain, the sleet or the cold wind which blew in gusts through the building.

This year was to be a deciding factor in whether or not to go ahead with 'Santa at Arduaine'. The answer is yes, we will - so many families said that they loved it.

My thanks to everyone who gave their time to help put up decorations and worked hard making mince pies, biscuits, Christmas cakes and spicy non-alcoholic punch - it couldn't have happened without you all!
