I've been trying for awhile to recall the woman who sculpted this Peace Dove of mine. At least I call him a Peace dove. If I'm wrong, I don't want to be right.
I bought him from a sweet, quiet woman sometime back in the eighties. I couldn't afford him but I had to have him.
So I had her last name scratched into the base. EHLERT.

As soon as I saw the article I remembered her. We used to sell her nudes and birds and other sculptures and The Picture Frame in Westdale, where I worked.

I'm still happy to this day whenever I look at this piece and touch it, that I decided to buy it instead of paying the hydro bill ;)
