Dawn Chorus

We were up early this morning to see the starlings leave their night time perches in the reeds at West Ham nature reserve - Glastonbury Tor is just visible in the background, behind the birds. Too dark for the iPhone to capture properly, although it has caught the essence. What it can't really capture is the extraordinary sound and pure sensation of so many birds rising into the air all at once. We stopped by last night as well, to watch the murmurations as they come in to roost, too far from the action to photograph but simply Amazing to experience. So many experiences beyond any possibility of capture, best by far to put the cameras away and simply experience them.
