Where's Wally & Robin Hood?

National Book Day was a week or so ago in the rest of the world but not here. We're celebrating tomorrow. School set up a competition that the children had to write a story about 2 different book charactors coming together.

Big Daughter struggles at school & hates writing so said she didn't want to do it.

Pink Twin 'wrote' a story about Wally from Where's Wally?, meeting Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell gave Wally some fairy dust and he never got lost again. Blue Twin came up with the story, Pink Twin copied the letters & illustrated it.

Blue Twin wrote a story about Indiana Jones & the 40 Thieves (as in Alibaba & the...) . The thieves stole the pot of gold from the end of the rainbow & went through a river. Indiana got it back by using his whip (he wanted to write about usung a gun but I said not).

So Big Daughter came home, saw what they had done & decided she was going to enter the competition. Clever girl kept the writing simple.

'One day Wally met Robin Hood. They played hide and seek.

Where's Wally and Robin Hood?

Can you find them?'

And then she drew this. Clever huh? So can you find them? Easier or harder than Playmobil?!

The are dressing up tomorrow. I'd love to show you them dressed up but I won't be able to recreate it easily. They were all going as Wally. Pink Twin has rebelled and is going as Tinkerbell. Girls!
