Christmas is close
In Nelson today we went to see the Christmas trees at the Nelson Cathedral. The trees have all been made and/or decorated by various groups for example, Kindergartens, Scouts groups, Bird and Forest Association etc. They were all arranged around the inside of the Cathedral and voting for your favourite was encouraged.
Two trees really caught my eye. One was made on egg cartons painted green and the other was made of drift wood.
This pic is a section of the 'welcome tree' which stands in the doorway of the Cathedral. It was too dark inside to photograph the others but this one stood in the light from the open doorway.
