Morning walk in the sunshine
We have a busy week with various appointments for baby R and this afternoon we had to go back to the paediatrician at the US Air Force base as she had lost weight since being discharged so we have to keep a check on it. So in the morning I took the girls off for a delightful walk along the quiet local roads and noticed that since my arrival some of the trees had taken on their autumnal colours. The other lovely thing about this walk, apart from the quiet roads, is that the shrubs alongside the very wide path are very well maintained and many are rosemary bushes so the smell as you walk is gorgeous. The double buggy is great to push and my quilted cocoons fit perfectly into the bassinettes to keep the babies cosy. I am really pleased that some of you are enjoying the different views of Las Vegas and perhaps can see why I enjoy coming here so much - it isn't simply a haven for gamblers.
The appointment went well and both girls had put on weight. While we were there the Thunderbirds put on an impressive mini display against the mountainous backdrop - these are the American equivalent of our Red Arrows and this base is their training ground.
