Scaup Family

There were two families of scaup with four and five small chick respectively today. The two families were not allowed to get too close together. Seemed to be only one carer for each family.

Meanwhile a grebe pair are sitting on a new clutch, and new nest. They were defending the nest, getting more sticks and weed to build up the nest and sitting on the eggs. I was told there maybe 5 eggs.
