Day one of determinedly getting into the Christmas spirit - a trip to Birmingham Royal Ballet for The Nutcracker. We even managed to get there with enough spare time to have a meal beforehand. It was somewhat more substantial than we anticipated but they did manage to get us fed and the bill paid in good time to get across to the Hippodrome for curtain up!
