Mere sunrise

December is usually the only time I manage to catch the sunrise after the school run (and there is no way on this earth you will catch me trekking round the Mere before the school run!) It was very still and felt warmish (erm - 3 degrees?) and the cormorants are still there, perched on a buoy each, watching the world go by. They never get close enough even for the 105mm though. I nearly got a blip of the heron, but as usual before the focus had locked onto it Lily had bounced into view and it took off.

The sunrise was a good second best.
