Bumper "Jumper" Day

Today we held a belated Wear Your Jumper for Work Day in order to raise a few hundred pounds for Save the Children.

It was a day when the office Scrooges were best advised to stay in bed as we all dipped deep into our pockets to buy raffle tickets, competition entries and of course pay £2 for the privilege of wearing a Christmas jumper or festive outfit.

All those miserable bah humbugs who failed to make the effort were fined £5 by the pullover police.

Here I am with Enzo - both in our festive outfits.

Harriet has had a fantastic day in Ireland but returned to her hotel to a bit of a disaster this evening. She was absolutely distraught as her Number One teddy bear had gone AWOL from her hotel bedroom. Harriet never goes anywhere without Divine. The little bear has travelled all over the world and has survived all kinds of incidents including being caught up in floods and cut off in Swiss Alps.

Poor Divine had been scooped up with the bedsheets by the hotel maid and was heading for an external laundry somewhere in Dublin. After a frantic search through tons of smelly laundry Divine was eventually found. Harriet burst into tears when they were reunited.

A good ending to a good day.

Off to the Dark Side tomorrow evening after work, before I collect Hattie from the airport.
