Mr Wiggles A favorite Spot Of His

This is my sons office/tv room Mr Wiggles loves being in this room for looking out the window and taking his cat naps. We have a cat bed and towel on the desk for him. Yesterday night something freaky happened though my other son was coming up the stairs and for some reason out of the blue Mr Wiggles freaked out or got spooked and while he was in the hallway outside my sons room he ran to the desk and flew out the window punching out the screen and dropping about 15 ft to the ground leaving my two sons stunned. He's ok thank goodness but we are left wondering WHY? He just freaked out has anyone ever had something freaky like this happen with their cats? Mr Wiggles walk to the front of the house after falling got on my porch furniture and proceeded to lay down we opened the front door to which he ran upstairs under my sons bed and stayed awhile. He came out eventually and was back to normal ate his dinner and went to bed for the night.
