Today the family tree lost a branch. Pepe's brother Phelim finally gave up the fight against the evil C.
He truly loved life and hung on for as long as he possibly could.
He was a man full of stories, and music, and drama.
As director of the Olympia theatre many moons ago, he had booked Mime Marceau.
He explained to me that Marceau's agent insisted that no advance cash should be given to the famous artist.
Or else he would rush off and buy yet another camera.
Phelim didn't have a bad word to say about the man.
And vice versa.
