The right hand

I've been admitted to hospital. If I need surgery I'm marked and all the paperwork is signed.

In the meantime I'm being pumped full of antibiotics. If they work I avoid the scalpel.

Not the outcome I wanted but I accept it's the best place for my hand.

And since I'm still attached to my hand, the rest of me is here too.
