Nursing Homes

Today we set off on a tour of the area's nursing homes. We were told they all had rooms available so we started with our favourite and closest, 14 miles away. It is set in acres of farmland and woodland. Breathtaking!

As soon as we were through the door we were told that the last room was now taken. We took advantage of a tour and were extremely impressed having talked to the manager and the chef. We came out disappointed by the current lack of vacancies but were greeted by a rainbow, a sign of hope for the future.

Next we went to two more, again these were either full or, without a suitable room for The Mother. Thank goodness we had a lovely lunch and a visit to a garden centre between visits!
