Five swans a-swimming

Went for a walk round Callendar Park in Falkirk on Monday afternoon. The Callendar Estate woodlands have an excellent network of paths and it's one of these places that one can walk whatever the season and whatever the weather.

Monday afternoon was very pleasant and the low sun gave some interesting changes of light as I wandered along. Near the end of my walk I passed by the pond that lies just to the east of Callendar House and saw these swans swimming in convoy. (These ones were a bit more mobile than those on an earlier blip from Callendar Park!)

The Christmas Carol with "seven swans a-swimming" came to mind - I hope you don't mind that I came up two short!
