I Love #UTG

Having a stroll through Union Terrace Gardens in Aberdeen at dinner time and was delighetd to see this big "I Love UTG" banner draped from a building on Belmont Street. The Gardens are set in a natural defile and form a green oasis in Aberdeen City Centre but they are currently under threat from development as big business wants to cover them over at street level to produce a bland 1970s style concrete square. Fortunately there is strong local opposition notably from groups like "I Love UTG". Expect many photos on my blip journal from UTG as the seasons unfold.
