Dilly Knox Plaque
I met a friend for lunch today who I had only previously met on Twitter. We met at a pub called 'The Wheel' at Naphill in High Wycombe. Opposite the pub is a lovely evergreen tree which was donated to the village by Dilly Knox a WWII codebreaker from Bletchley Park. The guy I met is co-writing a book called 'Saving Bletchley Park'. He was able to tell me all about 'Dilly' an unsung hero who really had far more to do with breaking the Enigma Code than Alan Turing. So, don't believe everything you might have seen in 'The Imitation Game' - whilst a good film it is not 100% accurate!
