TheFuture's So Bright...

Let's chalk this one down to a decent day.

It actually started a little before 11 last night, a fortuitous umbrage taking at posts on Facebook making me close it down to focus a little more on the job hunt, spotting something very interesting indeed. Except applications closed at midnight. Ah well, I merrily started filling in the form online, carefully transposing my cv, and then came to the 'essay' page. Ah. 300-500 words on a particular topic, and then 200 words on yourself, paying close attention to three aspects that would make you exceptional at that job... 11.48pm. Application finished.

Fast forward and a few hurdles overcome at work today, then the downside to hearing that on one job they'd be taking me no further. But the downer lasted mere moments. Two completely unsolicited little messages of support, telling me how jolly nice I am and how much of a pleasure it was to work with me etc etc etc. Then an email from a German company I'd contacted about project consulting roles who have reviewed my CV and want me to put it into the 'EU' format as some of their colleagues may be very interested in how I can work for them. Then a text message for a Legal Counsel job I'd applied for, asking me to call to discuss it in more detail (I think I know which position that is...), and that now organised for tomorrow.

Of course I've come home to have the bubble burst by Mel telling me I can't make dinner because she's hungry and I'll take too long so she'll do it, and that we never get lucky enough for me to get the particularly good job that I think the agent is calling about.

I'm going to try and maintain the positive spirit however. By which I mean gin of course.
