Boundaries

Standing on Woden St footbridge, I can look in one direction at the Manchester Ship Canal, and in another at the River Irwell, because technically it is at this point that one ends and the other begins. Although you would never know if you did not know !

Here Salford faces St George's Island in Manchester, which forms a point into Trafford. So this place is all about boundaries.

I really like these graffitied/arty walls which separate the Bellway apartments from the riverside walkway and the river Irwell.

The area is feeling a lot safer than it did years back. All the apartments mean there are people moving about, so you do not feel so exposed. Lots more of that to come too.
