Calm before the storm

Taken this morning when, weather-wise, all was calm.
Now it's rain, rain, rain.
I think the ground probably needs it though.

The picture was taken by the River Teign in Newton Abbot. In the background you can see the dual carriageway which links Exeter and Torbay bypassing Newton Abbot. A nightmare of a road at most times but especially at peak times and during holidays. The local powers think the burden will ease by building more roads through our lovely countryside... when will they ever learn! What we need is better public transport. (Mini rant over).
