Trestle

Clive finished the floor by 9.00am on Thursday - basically laid it all on Wednesday - 14 sheets of t&g flooring, all screwed down and seam glued.

Didn't know what to do so salvaged some floor boards and made a pair of trestles as the old kitchen units go to a new home on Sunday, and we need something to hold up the worktop pro tem.

The flooring wood is called karra - comes from sw australia and is a type of eucalyptus.
Very hard but splinters easily and if you stick one in your hand it always goes septic.
Various previous owners of the house trashed the floor as you can see from the boards here - so its gone.
