Big star

Discovered in today's Guardian that Alex Chilton died on Wednesday at the age of 59. Never as big a star as he might have been, he was a huge influence on a ton of stuff I've listened to, and very good the one time I saw him - at the Citrus Club in 1996. If you don't know his stuff, I'd recommend just about anything by Big Star, but notably Thank You Friends.
