Oryza Sativa. Rice. Food of the world. Contains the majority of essential amino acids required by the human body. Revered grain. Simple to prepare: wash, soak, steam.
Bioscience/chemical companies have long directed their attention at O. Sativa because it has the advantage of a relatively short genome. Recent developments in Genetic Modification include producing rice which contains human breastmilk proteins.
One particular press release implies that placing these proteins in infant formula will have the advantage of reducing exposure to chemical residues in breastmilk and can save countless babies' lives by being added to rehydration powders as a treatment for diarrhoea.
I wonder who could possibly have made the chemicals that made a mother's milk so dangerous that they decide to buy formula instead? I wonder what practices could cause so many cases of diarrhoea in babies?
At least mothers have the security of formula and rehydration powders to rely on in the face of the dangers from their own bodies. Their children shall be saved.
As says a doctor on the Biosciences website"
'That is what every mother would want for their child.'
