THE IRONBRIDGE

This is the famous Ironbridge which crosses the River Severn at Coalbrookdale.Built in 1779 by Abraham Darby.It was the first arch bridge in the world to be made from cast iron and the area is now known as the birthplace of the industrial revolution.
