London transport...

It's been a long time since I had to commute on public transport. I try to avoid at at all costs. I'm not antisocial but anyone who has to use trains or buses in London will know that despite what LRT's ads may suggest it is in fact a very sort of specific type of hell. Now I know there are a lot of tree hugger types out there who will go to their graves (in their wicker trousers), proclaimng that it is the way forward and that it really is a marvellous experience. Bollocks. It's shit. Please font misunderstand, I all for doing what we can to try and get our planet back into some sort healthy balance bit until they actually start to provide a CLEAN, efficient and safe environent on these services then it's back to my car every time. At least in there it is clean and smells nice and I can listen to the tunes I want to hear. I don't have to jostle and commit what is tantamount to assault on other people to get in it. God help you I'd you get stuck in the middle of a coach during a busy point and you'd like to get off.
Oddly enough today's journey was very short and sweet and ran perfectly on time. Yet I still had the urge to burn my clothes and scrub in bleach the second I got off the bus.
I really would like to continue but I am too tired and even this little rant was well below par. So I hope you all have a good weekend and I'd like to end on a positive. So I am grateful for my iPhone and the Hipstamatic app and of course the ability to upload a blip from anywhere at any time.
