Charlie Chaplain

Statue outside a local junk shop. (Sorry! 'Antique Emporium'). Good day sorting out much of our junk at new house so grandson can stay over tonight.

Trip down memory lane... but we didn't buy anything here.

Not many people know, but Chaplain wrote the music for 'Smile though you're heart is aching' made famous by Nat King Cole. (details)

I only know that because when I was learning to play the saxophone, it was one of the tunes I practiced. That was an alto sax. Was recently given a tenor sax. Must start trying that out soon!

Lovely day with family. Youngest off at her 21st tonight.
