Mama and her winter chicks

This is one of my bantam hens, cleverly named white hen, and two of the 3 chicks she hatched in early January. They started off as fuzzy marshmallows on toothpicks. They have been thru ice and snow storms, below zero temperatures and white hen keeps them all safe. She is an excellent mother.
