tourist Birmingham
A friend came to see me today and we spend a lovely day in the centre of Birmingham, hence the title.
We started off in the jewellery quarter
by the Clock Tower
where I noticed this rather quaint old piece of ironwork
the temple of relief
and then we headed to Brindley Place and there was rather an attractive
floating restaurant
but I finally chose this shot of the roof of the International Convention Centre which not only has our marvellous Symphony Hall but also the facilities to host a range of conferences including all the major political parties from time to time.
It was great to see the city again from a tourist point of view - and yes, I was proud.
