Hexham

Grace, Ophelia and I had a great time today with our friend and erstwhile blipper EllieS. We met up in Hexham at the train station. Grace was fascinated by her first up-close encounter with a train. We had a delicious pub lunch and then time in the park playground and a visit to the ice-cream van. Poor Ellie was run ragged by Grace's 'attention-span-of-a-gnat' antics in the park, whilst I fed Ophelia. Thanks Ellie!

Hope we have a good night tonight - poor Ophelia wasn't at all well overnight (teething again, and a bit of a cold) and needed all sorts of medication and lots of lots of cuddles for a few hours. She's been out of sorts today - all routine out the window, trying to get her some food and some sleep. I hope the fresh air in Hexham did her good.

Grace has started to reject nappies. Unfortunately she is also rejecting the potty, resulting in a couple of very large puddles on the floor today. She is, however, getting more in touch with her bodily functions, announcing this evening: 'Look what I did. Big mess. Wee-weed on the floor in there'.
