This photograph is rubbish: Flood debris
Back in November 2009, after what seemed like months of rain, many of Scotland's river flooded as water poured off the hillsides. The evidence of the flooding is scattered all along the Tweed. There are steel bathtubs in the river, washed out of fields. The lower limbs of trees have this grassy lametta clinging to them. There's the odd pallet lifted into a tree.
The fences along the river bank are covered in grass too. Caught in the wires and trapped in the gates. The rubbish left behind by the flood.
