Nor' Wester

Before arriving in New Zealand over ten years ago, I was no officionado of weather patterns. Nowadays I can tell you what the weather is likely to be like tomorrow according to the cloud patterns and I can tell what direction the wind is coming from the minute I open the back door.

Today was a howling nor' wester. Hot. Hot. Hot. Windy. Windy. Windy. Dusty. Dusty. Dusty.

The kids were MAD! My tomato plants have all but fallen over. My hayfever played up.

Still, nice to have some warm weather before the winter sets in.
